Hon. Chidi Nnamdi Consults Prince K. O. Mgbeahuru in Osisioma, Seeks Support for 2027 Bid

The campaign train of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) candidate for the Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Chidi Nnamdi, has continued its grassroots consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections, with a strategic visit to the country home of Hon. Prince K. O. Mgbeahuru, Ph.D., in Osokwa, Osisioma Local Government Area of Abia State.

The visit was aimed at formally presenting Hon. Chidi Nnamdi to the former Commissioner for Works and seeking his support and endorsement for Nnamdi’s aspiration to represent the people of the Obioma–Ngwa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Speaking during the consultation, the ZLP candidate for Obingwa West State Constituency, Hon. Obinna Nwabiaraije (Omaraeme), explained that the delegation had come to present Nnamdi as a son seeking the blessing, support and guidance of an elder.

Nwabiaraije noted that, having known the capacity, character and aspirations of Hon. Chidi Nnamdi, the delegation considered it important to formally seek the support of Prince Mgbeahuru and the people of the Osokwa Ancient Kingdom.

He further expressed confidence that, if elected, Nnamdi would bring a renewed sense of purpose to legislative representation by prioritising grassroots development, effective advocacy and programmes capable of translating democratic governance into tangible benefits for constituents.

Responding, Hon. Prince K. O. Mgbeahuru, Ph.D., recalled his longstanding relationship with Nnamdi’s father, popularly known as Jato, and acknowledged the importance of continuity, commitment and responsible political engagement.

Prince Mgbeahuru encouraged the young aspirant to remain steadfast in his political pursuit, stressing the need for dedication and perseverance in the face of the challenges that accompany public service.

He subsequently pledged his maximum support to Hon. Chidi Nnamdi and assured the delegation that the people of Osokwa would stand with him in his political journey.

In his remarks, Hon. Chidi Nnamdi expressed appreciation to Prince Mgbeahuru and the people of Osokwa for the warm reception accorded his campaign team.

Nnamdi described himself as a young aspirant with a clear vision for the future, stressing that his youthfulness should be viewed as an asset to the constituency. He assured the gathering that his ambitions extend beyond the immediate political contest and that, given the opportunity to serve, he would remain conscious of the trust reposed in him by the people.

He also used the occasion to speak on the need for improved rural infrastructure, particularly road accessibility. Nnamdi assured the people of Osokwa that he would support the commencement of rural road grading in the area once the rainy season comes to an end.

The consultation ended on a positive note, with expressions of mutual commitment, goodwill and a shared determination to pursue a new direction for the Obioma–Ngwa Federal Constituency.

Among members of the campaign team who accompanied Hon. Chidi Nnamdi were the ZLP candidate for Obingwa West State Constituency, Hon. Obinna Nwabiaraije (Omaraeme); Hon. Emeka Dimiri; and Mr Emeonye Okonko, among other supporters.
