Army Tortures Man to Death Over Complain by a Woman

The Nigerian Army stationed at Tina Junction in Jos, Plateau State has allegedly killed a man, Benjamin Arum Izang, 31, after a woman named Blessing reported him to them after an argument.

The soldiers reportedly beat Benjamin with hammer, machete and a club after storming his house and taking him away.

Residents of Tina Junction and eyewitnesses revealed that Benjamin was not the first person the soldiers at that particular spot has done it to as several have gone through their torture.

Benjamin complained of pains and after about two hours, he died. The woman who reported Benjamin to the soldiers has escaped upon learning of his death and the soldiers have been transferred to an unknown place.

“Benjamin Arum Izang was 31 years old and lived at Tina Junction, Jos, Plateau State. He bought egg on Tuesday from a lady named Blessing. He had an argument with the lady who later reported him to the @HQNigerianArmy (STF) stationed at Tina Junction.

The soldiers stormed his house in a green Ford Ranger numbered DHQ 631, picked him up and took him to their post where they tortured him. He got home complaining of pains on his entire body as a result of the torture. About two hours later, Benjamin died. Blessing is now at large. The soldiers who killed Benjamin have been transferred out of Tina Junction to an unknown place. Recall that there has been evidence of police and security operatives brutality to the common man and as it each day goes by, many more people are added to victims of this torture.
