A lady has narrated how she helped an accident victim who was left for dead after being knocked down by a bus.
She said she reached out to a police van but they sped off after she narrated what happened, the bus that carried her and the victim to the hospital told her she will have to pay but later let it.
She further disclosed that people told her to leave the victim as he’s already dead but the victim opened his eyes in the hospital.
She wrote, “5:45 am today, 14th February 2020, at Marina, Lagos. A hit and run happened life before me.
The victim should be in his late 50’s (not sure) was knocked down by a bus. the driver stopped at first and was busy saying how it wasn’t his fault, within a twinkle of an eye he sped off. People only gathered, watching and screaming while the victim laid still on the road and was bleeding through his head. I stopped a Nigerian police van, the van had 3 occupants, they stopped, I told them the victim needs an emergency a few minutes later they left without helping.”
“The empty bus I finally found only agreed to go because I said I was going to “chatter”, but he later said there was no need to pay again when we got to the hospital. People were saying “this is Lagos, there’s no need, he is dead, etc”. Just 20 minutes after getting to the hospital, he opened his eyes, unconscious but alive 😁
He is being treated, it looks a head injury, but I know he will make it. I left him at 7, but I will be seeing him a few minutes from now.”
“God bless Dr Remi for acting very fast in treating him. He also waited patiently for me to come back, his shift ended since 9 am.”
