A Twitter user has narrated what happened to her when she went to the police station to lay a complaint about a threat to her life.

She narrated this on Twitter saying the policemen told her to return the next day as they cannot help her at the moment and also told her to pay 5k for booking.
When she insisted that she didn’t have any money but #1k, they collected it from her and told her to return the next day.
Read the tweet, “So I go to the station to report a threat to my life and I was told there’s nothing that can be done tonight until tomorrow 10am and I was asked to pay 5k for booking, I said I had just 1k and they collected it.
My mistake, I was too sad to look at the officers names but it was Area G at Ogba.
I left there almost in tears because this people are supposed to protect me from people who think they can intimidate me.”
“I can’t even understand how you threaten to stab someone, a human being o not a chicken.
I am currently in fear for my own life atm.”
Often time, the people have complained about the nonchalant behaviour of the Nigerian police in securing the lives of the citizen. The police should do more in securing life as that will safeguard the citizen and the hope of the common man will not be lost.
