COVID-19: 4 Doctors in Isolation as Patient Who Lied About Travel Records Dies

Four doctors of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital has been places in isolation following their exposure to the Coronavirus patient who lies about his travel records.

The patient was admitted and placed in the emergency ward of the hospital while lying to the hospital that he had a mild cough but later tested positive to the virus.

The doctors, health workers and others who attended to him have been advised to isolate for a period of 14 days to ascertain their health before going back to work.

They were exposed to a patient in the accident and emergency room whose family has lied about his symptoms and hid the fact that he just came back from Europe.

If your family is a health worker,
Pls pray for them.

The patient was put in the same open space with many other patients who were also in the LUTH emergency room.

Doctors, nurses, cleaners, and other health workers have been exposed to the man.

The patient is now dead.
And he is confirmed positive for Coronavirus.

So as we speak now
Many doctors, nurses, health workers who attended to that patient without special protection outfit may have caught the virus.

Except you are a health worker at the battlefront, you will never understand that everyday at work, these people’s lives are at risk.”

Prof Abayomi also stated the cause of the death of the second Coronavirus victim who had a kidney transplant and lives in Holland but refused to tell the hospital and health workers.

I regret to announce the first #COVID19 related death in Lagos state.
The deceased was 55 year old Nigerian🇳🇬; male who lived in Holland but returned to Lagos 2 weeks ago.
He had a kidney transplant 7yrs ago and also diabetic.

He was on strong immune suppression drugs for the kidney transplant.
He was admitted on the night of April 2nd, 2020 on presumption of complications from the kidney transplant. He did not provide full account of his travel history or medical circumstances to the attending doctors in keeping with global trend and to enable guided treatment for #COVID19 related vulnerability due to severe underlying ill health.”

He however demonstrated some signs of an upper respiratory chest infection.
He later tested positive for #COVID19 but died early hours of April 3rd, 2020 from a cardiac arrest.
May his soul rest in peace!”

This singular act has sparked outrage on Nigerians who opined that the family of the man should be prosecuted for endangering the life of health workers and other patients in the emergency room.
