Tragic! Caretaker Hit Student to Death Over Rent
Tragedy has struck in Owerri, Imo State as the caretaker of Ezinwanne lodge, Nekede allegedly hit one of his tenants identified as Anthony for refusing to quit his room.
Tragedy has struck in Owerri, Imo State as the caretaker of Ezinwanne lodge, Nekede allegedly hit one of his tenants identified as Anthony for refusing to quit his room.

It was gathered that Anthony, the first-year student of the Department of Building Technology was owing rent and pleaded for more time to renew his rent.
The explanation led to a misunderstanding between them which led the caretaker to hit Anthony with a wooden stick on his head.
Anthony collapsed and was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri where he sought medical attention.
Unfortunately, Anthony didn’t make it. Thereafter, the caretaker was handed over to the police.
