Ikpeazu to Commission First Phase of Umuobiakwa-Owo Ahiafo Road

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu will commission the first phase of Umuobiakwa-Owo Ahiafo road in the Obingwa Local Government Area of the State.

This was made known by the Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, who stated that the commissioning will be on Thursday, 15th July, 2021.

Dr Ikpeazu also invited the deputy governor, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, National Assembly members representing Aba North/South and Isiala Ngwa and others.

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, will commission the first phase of Umuobiakwa-Owo Ahiafo road in Obingwa Local Government Area on Thursday, 15th July, 2021, at 12noon, and later inspect other ongoing road projects.

The Governor has invited the following to accompany him to the programmes:

a. Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu, former and current members of the state executive council as well as members of the body of special advisers and assistants to the Governor

b. Members representing Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo, Aba North/South and Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituencies at the National Assembly.

c. Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, and members of the 7th Abia State House of Assembly

d. Members of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) led by Hon. Michael Ibe

e. State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Rt. Hon. Asiforo Okere, and party stakeholders

f. Members of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers led by HRM Eze Joseph Nwabekee

g. State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, Apostle Emma Agomuo and members of the clergy.

h. Leaders of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the state

i. The Chairman and members of Transport Unions and Farmers association

j. Chairman and members of Town Unions in the area

k. Leaders and members of transport unions in Aba

l. Chairman and members of Inter Party Advisory Council led by Mr C. K. Igara

m. State Chairman and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)
