Dialogue, Best Panecea For Stable Academic Calendar – Sir. Oko Chukwu

The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu has described dialogue as the best panacea for the relative peace existing in the academic calendar in the State and Nation at large.

Sir. Oko Chukwu who stated this when he received in audience a delegation of National Association of Nigeria Students ( NANS) , Zone B, South South and South East Led by it’s Coordinator, Comrade Friday Etinyene- Offongekpe at Government House Umuahia extolled the wonderful relationship existing between various student groups in the State and commended it’s leadership for being proactive in addressing issues of Students unrest across the country.

The Deputy Governor reaffirmed the present administration’s resolve not only to sustain the mission of changing the infrastructural narratives of the State but continue to popularize and champion SMEs development and the made in Aba products which have placed the State in the National and world markets.

He expressed delight that Abia has continue to excel in the area of Agriculture, Health and Educational sector even in the midst of pausity of funds and promised that the Governor, Dr Okezie lkpeazu will not relent in his resolve to charge the State positively.

Sir. Oko Chukwu appreciated the Coordinator of NANS Zone B, for working in close Collaboration with the State Government describing them as people with critical minds geared towards evolving positive change among youths in the country and congratulated the SA to Governor on Student’s Affairs, Comrade Chibuzor Ndom for the outstanding leadership award bestowed on him by the NANS group.

Earlier in his speech, the Coordinator, National Association of Nigeria Students NANS Zone B South South and South East Zone, Comrade Friday Etinyene- Offongekpe who said they came to felicitate and appreciate the Deputy Governor for working assiduously in harmony with his boss to transform the State and for his support towards NANS activities in the State as well as inform him of the most outstanding leadership award earlier bestowed on the Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs Comrade Chibuzor Ndom for his inputs in the zone.

The Visit which featured the presentation of a medal of honour to the Deputy Governor Sir Ude Oko Chukwu in appreciation of his coutribitions towards the growth of NANS in the State attracted the presence of the S.A to the Governor on Students Affairs Comrade Chibuzor Ndom, his counterpart on Teenage Matters , Chichi Umeseaka and other top Government Officials.
