One Die, Female Rescued in Multiple Accidents

A pedestrian waiting to board the bus at Ketu Bus Stop by Demurin Junction along Ikorodu Road has been killed after a Commercial Toyota Hiace Bus (NSW 216 XA) fully loaded with pepper and other perishable items rammed into 2 other Volkswagen commercial buses on Tuesday morning in Lagos State.

It was gathered that the Inter-State Toyota Hiace commercial bus (NSW 216 XA) which was fully loaded with pepper and other perishable goods was on a high speed when it lost control as a result of a brake failure.

According to the Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) Mr. Adebayo Taofiq who confirmed the incident stated that the driver was apprehended.

It further stated that a trapped female passenger inside one of the Volkswagen commercial buses was rescued by LASTMA personnel and immediately handed over to Officials of the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASMBUS)
