A gas explosion in Maiduguri, Borno State on Monday morning left a newborn baby in a coma and injured two others in the home of journalist Abdulkareem Haruna.

It was reported that a faulty gas cylinder caused a gas explosion in the kitchen while the family was preparing for the newborn baby’s naming ceremony.

The baby fell into a coma as a result of the explosion, while two individuals at the scene suffered serious injuries.
Meanwhile, when this reporter tried to reach out to Abdulkareem Haruna, staff at HumAngle Media, the call didn’t fall through.
