Enyimba’s technical adviser, Stanley Eguma, has attributed his team’s 1-0 loss to Bendel Insurance in Benin City to the red card shown to defender Innocent Gabriel.
Enyimba’s technical adviser, Stanley Eguma, has attributed his team’s 1-0 loss to Bendel Insurance in Benin City to the red card shown to defender Innocent Gabriel.

Gabriel was sent off in the first half for a reckless challenge on Kayode Oke of Bendel Insurance, forcing Enyimba to play with 10 men for the rest of the match.

Despite the disadvantage, Eguma commended the quality of the match, stating, “It was a good game, but being a man down made things difficult for us.” The defeat saw Enyimba drop to 10th place in the league standings.
Looking ahead, Enyimba will turn their focus to their next match against Rivers United on Saturday, aiming to bounce back from the loss. Eguma hopes his team can learn from the experience and return stronger for their upcoming fixture.
