Authorities Launch Investigation as Gunmen Attack Senator Natasha’s Residence
Authorities have launched an investigation into a late-night assault on the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in the Obeiba-Ihima community, located in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Authorities have launched an investigation into a late-night assault on the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in the Obeiba-Ihima community, located in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The incident, which occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, involved three unidentified assailants armed with cutlasses and firearms.
According to reports, the Senator’s Chief Security Officer, Yakubu Ovanja, promptly informed law enforcement of the attack.

The attackers reportedly damaged parts of the residence, including smashing windows, before fleeing the scene. In response to a distress call, operatives from the Okehi Division swiftly arrived at the location to assess the situation.
Though no injuries or fatalities were reported, and no suspects have yet been apprehended, the area has been secured and documented for further forensic analysis. Investigators have yet to determine a motive for the incident.
As of the time of reporting, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has not made any official comment regarding the attack.
Recall that Senate President Godswill Akpabio withdrew the security details of Senator Natasha following her suspension from the Senate over misconduct.
