A scheduled interactive session between the House of Representatives and the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, retired Vice-Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, has been delayed following a formal request for rescheduling.

In an official statement released Wednesday, House spokesperson Akintunde Rotimi revealed that the Ad-Hoc Committee on Rivers State Oversight received the postponement request from Ibas ahead of the planned meeting, which was originally set for Thursday, April 17, at 4:00 p.m.

The committee has accepted the request and is currently working to finalize a new date for the session. Rotimi assured the public that details of the rescheduled meeting would be shared as soon as they are confirmed, reaffirming the House’s dedication to maintaining transparency and ensuring effective oversight processes.
