Young Boy Shot by Operation Crush Officers in Umuahia
A young boy was reportedly shot by members of Operation Crush in Umuahia after being chased along Imo Lane by Owerri, according to an eyewitness account.
A young boy was reportedly shot by members of Operation Crush in Umuahia after being chased along Imo Lane by Owerri, according to an eyewitness account.

The boy was nearly escaping when a security officer fired a close-range shot that struck him in the stomach, causing him to collapse.
The officers stayed at the scene for several minutes before leaving, while concerned residents gathered to find out what had happened.




After the security team departed, a group of boys stopped a keke and took the injured boy away.
The source confirmed that the boy is now receiving urgent medical treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Umuahia, where staff are working to save his life.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
