Otti Appoints Ohuche as Chief Economic Adviser, Constitutes Abia Economic Management Team
The Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has approved the appointment of Dr. Friday Kanu Ohuche as the Chief Economic Adviser to the State Government to strengthen economic governance and strategic planning.

This was made known in a press release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, FCA on Sunday.
The Governor appointed the Abia State Economic Management Team which is tasked with steering the state’s economic policies, investment drive, and fiscal strategy.
The Economic Management Team will be chaired by the Governor and composed of key figures in the state’s financial and economic sectors.
The members include; Executive Governor of Abia State (Chairman), Commissioner for Finance, Commissioner for Budget & Planning, Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Commissioner for Industries & SMEs, Chairman, Abia State Board of Internal Revenue Services, and Director General/CEO, Office of Public Private Partnership & Investment Promotion.
Others include Chief Economic Adviser, Special Adviser, Internally Generated Revenue, Special Adviser, Budget and Planning, State Accountant-General, Director General, Ministry of Finance Incorporated, Principal Secretary & Chief Strategy Officer, and Technical Assistant to the Governor.
The Governor expressed confidence that the newly appointed Chief Economic Adviser and the Economic Management Team will bring fresh insights, innovation, and expertise to drive inclusive economic growth across the state.
