A New Dawn of Transformation and Prosperity for Ogun State (2027 and Beyond), Otunba Babatunde Olushola Senbanjo Writes

My dear good people of Ogun State,

As we march towards 2027 with hope in our hearts and determination in our spirits, I Otunba Babatunde Olushola Senbanjo (BOS) stand before you not just as a candidate, but as a son of the soil, a servant of the people, and a visionary determined to usher in a new era of growth, development, and transformation for our beloved Gateway State.

Our history is rich. Our land is blessed with human capital, natural resources, industrious youths, and a legacy of courage and resilience. Yet, despite our potential, too many of our people still live in poverty, our infrastructure lags behind, our educational system struggles, and our healthcare facilities remain inadequate. The time has come to change this story. The time has come for a new Ogun State, a state where progress is not just spoken of, but seen, felt, and lived by every citizen.

If entrusted with your mandate in 2027, I will lead with transparency, integrity, and passion, putting the people at the very centre of governance. My vision is simple yet profound: to transform Ogun State into a model of sustainable growth, innovation, and shared prosperity.

My Transformational Agenda for Ogun State:

1. Economic Empowerment & Job Creation

We will attract investments by creating a business-friendly environment that supports entrepreneurship, small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), and industrial expansion.

Agriculture will be revived and modernised, with farmers given access to technology, financing, and markets. Ogun State will become a hub of agribusiness and food security.

Our youths will be empowered with skills in technology, creative industries, and vocational training to compete globally.

2. Quality Education for All

No child will be left behind. We will invest in schools, retrain teachers, and provide digital learning tools.

Vocational and technical education will be prioritised to prepare our young people not just for jobs, but for leadership in innovation.

3. Healthcare Reform

We will upgrade hospitals and primary healthcare centres across the state.

Affordable healthcare insurance schemes will be introduced to ensure every family has access to quality care.

We will invest in maternal and child health, because the future of Ogun State depends on the well-being of our mothers and children.

4. Infrastructure & Urban Development

Roads, electricity, and clean water will no longer be privileges but rights for every citizen.

Smart cities and modern housing projects will spring up, making Ogun State a beacon of development in Nigeria.

Rural areas will no longer be neglected we will bridge the urban-rural divide with targeted infrastructure projects.

5. Good Governance & Transparency

We will run an accountable government, free from corruption, where public funds are channelled directly into people-oriented projects.

Citizens will have a voice in governance through town hall meetings, feedback systems, and participatory budgeting.

6. Security & Peace

We will strengthen community policing, support security agencies with technology, and build safer communities.

Our youths, instead of being idle and vulnerable to crime, will be meaningfully engaged in productive ventures.

7. Harnessing Culture, Tourism, and Innovation

Ogun State is a land of culture, heritage, and creativity. We will revive our cultural centres and develop tourism to generate jobs and revenue.

Technology hubs and innovation centres will be established to make Ogun State the Silicon Valley of Nigeria.

A Call to Unity and Action

The new era we seek cannot be achieved by one man alone. It requires the collective will of all Ogun sons and daughters our farmers, traders, teachers, artisans, civil servants, youths, elders, women, and leaders. Together, we will rebuild trust in governance and unleash the true greatness of our state.

This is not just a promise; it is a covenant. A covenant to transform Ogun State into the pride of Nigeria and Africa.

Come 2027, let us stand together and declare that the time for excuses is over. The time for action has come. The time for transformation has arrived. Together, we will write a new chapter in our history, a chapter of hope, growth, peace, and prosperity.

Ogun State shall rise, and every citizen shall rise with it.
