DSS Reportedly Blocks and Detains Nnamdi Kanu’s Brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu
At the Supreme Court premises in Abuja on Monday, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, younger brother to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, was reportedly blocked and detained by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

According to eyewitness accounts, Prince Kanu had arrived at the Supreme Court early in the morning to process legal documents related to his brother’s case, which is scheduled for hearing on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. However, DSS personnel stationed at the court allegedly denied him entry into the premises without providing a clear reason.
In a statement attributed to his wife, one of the DSS officers allegedly threatened to “jail” Prince Kanu after he questioned why he was being barred from entering the court complex.
Meanwhile, no official statement has been made by the DSS regarding the reason behind the detention of Prince Emmanuel Kanu.
