Court Affirms Jurisdiction in Nnamdi Kanu Trial
The Federal High Court in Abuja has ruled that it possesses full authority to continue presiding over the trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Delivering the ruling, Justice James Omotosho held that the question of Kanu’s extradition had already been determined by the Supreme Court, which decided the matter against Kanu.
Justice Omotosho further dismissed claims raised by Kanu’s legal team alleging unfair hearing. The judge stated that the court had provided all necessary opportunities for the defendant to present his case, ruling that Kanu was accorded a fair and just hearing throughout the proceedings.
