Preparations in Top Gear to Celebrate Aro Day 2025

Preparations are in full swing to celebrate Aro Day 2025, following the promise by Eze Dr Eberechukwu Oji to honour 100 Umuaro posthumously for their significant contributions to sustaining the Aro Kingdom both nationally and internationally during the last Ikeji Aro 2025.

Inviting all sons and daughters of Arochukwu Kingdom, Eze Aro the 9th said the aim is to honour the people and, in doing so, demonstrate to the living what it means to build positively on the lives of others, which emphasises good morals among the young and encourages positive attitudes in the growth of the community.

This year’s theme, titled “Aro Renaissance: Honouring and Building on the Legacies of our Heroes and Heroines, Past and Present for a more United and Prosperous Aro Kingdom,” highlights the efforts of the heroes of the past in building the Kingdom, as evidenced by its present state.

The Central Planning Committee, led by Mazi Chimezie Oji, Ugwu Aro, as its Chairman has organised a four-day programme beginning with the Finale of the Eze Kanu Oji football competition on 24th December 2025, followed by a Christmas carol of nine lessons at 6 pm.

On 25th December, Christmas church activities will be conducted at various churches, followed by dinners and private outings.

The main Aro Day celebrations will commence on 26th December, featuring cultural displays, honours, the inauguration of the STEM Committee at the Civic Centre at 10 am, and a dinner for Aro Heroes and Heroines at the Alpha Plus Hotel, Amuvi, at 8 pm.

The festivities will conclude with royal homage visits to His Eminence Eze Dr Eberechukwu Oji, and a youth dance and variety party at the Civic Centre, Oror, on 27th December 2025.

This programme underscores Eze Eberechukwu Oji’s promise to make the Aro Kingdom a wonderful place to live and settle. He has repeatedly assured the people that the light of God has entered the Kingdom, encouraging them to rejoice, as divine illumination has touched every corner.

In particular, this highlights the Light Up Aro Project, led by His Eminence Eze Dr Eberechukwu Oji, which has successfully illuminated all dark places.
