JAMB Revises UTME Schedule, Sets New Arrival Time for Candidates
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced a change to the reporting time for candidates participating in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), especially those scheduled for the first session of the day.

Under the revised arrangement, candidates are now required to arrive at their examination centres by 7:00 a.m., replacing the earlier 6:30 a.m. reporting time. Despite this adjustment, the first session of the exam will still commence at 8:30 a.m. and conclude by 10:30 a.m.
JAMB explained that the modification is aimed at improving coordination and ensuring seamless conduct of the examination across Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide. The board also confirmed that four sessions will be held daily throughout the examination period.
The 2026 UTME is scheduled to run from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026, with thousands of candidates expected to sit for the nationwide test.
