A government that fails to represent the interest of its people ends up becoming a threat to the development of the society in which the people it governs exist.

The core objective of democracy is to elect a leader, who do not only represent the interest of the masses, but can also bring about a rapid development that will stand the taste of time.
A government chosen by the people must put the people first, turning their mandate into real change that improves lives and creates a better future for everyone.

Abraham Lincoln in 1863 states that democracy is all about the people, their interest and well-being. He further stressed democracy to mean ” government of the people, by the people and for the people” The people elect a leader they trust, but what happens when their interest is not well represented?

Ndi Ikwuano/Umuahia must get it right and should not lose this great opportunity. We need a leader who is selfless, leads with compassion and integrity; a good representative is one who puts the interest of each people first and makes it his priority even before his own needs.

Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has in the past proven beyond reasonable doubt to be that leader Ndi Ikwuano/Umuahia North and Umuahia South deserves. In the Abia state house of assembly, he rose from a legislator to the foremost position of a leader and an honorable speaker. His past administration speaks volume, and it works echos round the streets, villages, town and markets. His achievements prove that true leadership is not about empty political promises or propaganda; it is about doing the work and creating real change that even those who cannot see it coming can feel and testify to.

The tension may be high and emotions running deep, but the final choice belongs to the people; the power to choose a proactive and responsible leader who sees leadership not as a title, but as an opportunity to serve, is firmly in your hands.
