Enugu Police Rescue Four Kidnapped Victims
Enugu State Police Command in collaboration with State Forest Guard and Neighbourhood Watch Group has rescued four kidnapped victims in a forest at Aishi-Ette, Igbo-Eze North LGA, on the 25th of June, 2023.
Enugu State Police Command in collaboration with State Forest Guard and Neighbourhood Watch Group has rescued four kidnapped victims in a forest at Aishi-Ette, Igbo-Eze North LGA, on the 25th of June, 2023.

It was gathered that the victims (two males and two females) were kidnapped on 23rd June 2023 at about 2130hrs at Umuopu village, along Ette/Ogugu Road, while traveling to Obollo-Afor, Enugu State from Ankpa, Kogi State.

The kidnappers who demanded N10 million ran some from the victims and engaged the security men in a gun battle which resulted in injuries and made them abandon their hostages.
One of the victims sustained gun shoot on his left thigh and has been rushed to hospital for immediate treatment of which he is in stable condition.
All other victims including the security operatives returned unscathed.
