Nnamdi Kanu: ‘We Shall Not Relent’ – Lawyer Thunders
Aloy Ejimakor Esq., the Special Counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has stated that he will continue to fight for the freedom of his client.
Aloy Ejimakor Esq., the Special Counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has stated that he will continue to fight for the freedom of his client.

“A very sad day for the Nigerian judiciary. Yet, we shall not relent until we prevail, until justice prevails.
Like it or not, freedom shall come, sooner than later.”
Mazi Kanu was denied bail in an application he filed on the 5th of February 2024 to be released on bail, on “most liberal terms” owing to his deteriorating health pending the determination of the charge the Nigerian government preferred against him.

The trial judge, Justice Binta Nyako, ordered an accelerated trial for the government’s seven-count charge against him.
During a court hearing, Mazi Kanu accused government officials of profiting from the insecurity in the South East region, promising that it would end shortly after his release.
“I suspect that some people in government are complicit. They are making money with this insecurity. They know if Nnamdi Kanu is outside, in two minutes, this nonsense will stop.”
