Women in Bokkkos Local Government Area of Plateau State have insisted that soldiers posted to the area must leave the community following the shooting of a Plateau State University student.

It was gathered that on Friday, gunmen killed a student and two bystanders in a fresh attack which led to a protest but soldiers allegedly shot sporadically, injuring protesting students.
Chanting ‘Soldiers must go, we no go gree’ they escorted the vehicles of the soldiers who walked on.

Confirming the incident, the University Management on Friday, April 19, shut down the University for ten days while stating that the ongoing exams in the institution have been placed on hold.
Meanwhile, students writing the ongoing Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, examination missed their examinations today due to the chaos and there is no information yet from JAMB if it will consider the situation and reschedule for them.
