A 23-year-old ex-convict, Samuel Agbaje, was rearrested by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on Tuesday for stealing the main gate of a residential building around 3:00 a.m. in Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja.

Agbaje, who was released from Kirikiri Medium Prison in October 2024, was arrested alongside his accomplice Obia Moses in Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, by RRS operatives on night patrol.

It was gathered that the suspects stole half of the main gate of a residential building in the area. They were thereafter led to the scene of the theft. The residents were shocked that the suspects removed their building entrance gate without any of them knowing.
Agbaje and Obia confessed that they were taking the gate to Agege where they intend selling it.
Meanwhile, the Commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Shola Jejeloye has directed that the suspects be charged to court immediately.
