Brutal Murder of DPO: Police Arrest 41 Suspects
The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 41 suspects in connection with the brutal killing of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Rano Division, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Baba Ali.

In a press release issued Thursday, the Police described the murder as a “gruesome” and “senseless” act that has drawn widespread public condemnation.
The late officer was reportedly killed while on active duty in what the Command described as a grave attack not just on law enforcement, but on society as a whole.
The Commissioner of Police in Kano State, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, assured the public that the investigation is ongoing and that all those responsible will be brought to justice.

He emphasized the Police Command’s commitment to uncovering the full details of the incident, noting that the identified principal suspects are among those arrested.
“The Command is fully committed to ensuring the safety and security of all lives and property in the State,” CP Bakori stated. “We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that all perpetrators are brought to justice.”
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who issued the statement on behalf of the Commissioner, expressed gratitude to the public for their support and cooperation. He also urged citizens to remain calm and continue assisting the Police with vital information.
The Police Command paid tribute to the fallen officer, CSP Baba Ali, for his dedication and service, and praised the continued courage of its officers across the state.
