NAFDAC Uncovers Illegal Feed Mill Producing Unregistered Chicken Feed
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has uncovered an illegal feed mill operating in Kaduna State, producing unregistered chicken feed products.
During a raid conducted by NAFDAC officials, a total of 200 bags of poultry feed comprising Nurture Feeds Grower Mash and Nurture Feeds Layer Mash, each weighing 25 kilograms were discovered at the facility.
According to the agency, the products were not registered with NAFDAC, raising serious concerns about their safety and quality for poultry consumption. The seized items have been placed on hold pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation.

NAFDAC reiterated its commitment to protecting public health by ensuring that only safe, registered, and properly labelled animal feed products are manufactured and distributed in Nigeria.
The agency also warned unlicensed producers to desist from such illegal operations or face prosecution.
