Benjamin Kalu Pays Courtesy Visit to Elder Statesman Dr Kalu Idika Kalu
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has reaffirmed the importance of honouring elder statesmen as he continued his stakeholder engagements within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State.

Kalu made this known during a courtesy visit to a former Minister of Finance and respected national leader, Dr Kalu Idika Kalu, at his country home in Ohafia, Abia State.
Describing the visit as inspiring, the Deputy Speaker praised Dr Kalu Idika Kalu for his outstanding contributions to national development and his enduring legacy of service. He noted that despite his towering achievements in leadership and public service, the former minister has remained a symbol of humility, integrity, and wisdom.
Kalu emphasised that leaders who have served Nigeria diligently deserve continued recognition and respect, adding that their experience and counsel remain invaluable to the nation’s progress.

He expressed gratitude for the words of encouragement and support received from the elder statesman, stating that such engagements strengthen his resolve to pursue people-centred leadership.
According to him, collaboration with seasoned leaders like Dr Kalu Idika Kalu is essential to building stronger communities, advancing Abia State, and contributing meaningfully to the growth and unity of Nigeria.
“I am grateful for his words of encouragement and support in this journey of leadership. It was an inspiring engagement, we will continue to work together with leaders like him to build our communities, state and indeed our nation, Nigeria” he concluded.
