Abia Rejoice Movement Raises Alarm Over Alleged Threats to Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah
The Abia Rejoice Movement has raised concerns over what it described as an alleged plot by some political actors to intimidate, blackmail, physically harm, or possibly assassinate its leader, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, CON, over his political views and activities in Abia State.

In a public statement issued on Monday, February 10, 2026, the group said the information was based on what it referred to as “reliable intelligence” that recently came to its attention. According to the movement, the alleged plot is being orchestrated by “desperate political elements” within the state.
The group said it decided to make the information public in the interest of transparency, public awareness, and collective vigilance, noting that the matter was being treated with the seriousness it deserves.
Despite the claims, the movement stated that it remains calm and undeterred, expressing confidence that what it described as malicious intentions would ultimately fail. It emphasised that actions aimed at intimidating or harming individuals for their political beliefs are unacceptable and contrary to democratic principles.
The Abia Rejoice Movement also called on security agencies, relevant authorities, and well-meaning citizens to remain alert and proactive, urging them not to allow any attempt toinstill fear, disrupt peace, or undermine democratic processes in the state.
Reaffirming its faith, the group expressed confidence in what it described as divine protection over Dr Ogah, stating that no plan or scheme against his life or lawful activities would succeed. It added that those allegedly involved in the plot are known and that details surrounding the matter would be made public through appropriate and lawful channels at the right time.
