Soludo Awards Top JAMB Scorer Full Scholarship from BSc to PhD

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has awarded a fully funded scholarship to Miss Umeaniba Chiazor Francis, covering her education from a Bachelor’s degree (BSc) through a Master’s degree (MSc) to a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement.

He announced this after the student scored an impressive 344 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Umeaniba, who currently serves as the Senior Prefect of Maria Regina Secondary School, Nnewi, was honoured by the governor during a public event, where he commended her exceptional performance, discipline, and dedication to academic excellence.

Recounting, Governor Soludo said he is touched because he was once a senior prefect in his secondary school and achieved the best result with Distinction. He attended university and earned a first-class Honours.

Turning to the student, he said, “I believe that you will also make first class honours and when you are done, you will procefirst-classMaster’s and PhD. All of that will be on me, you have the potential.”
