#OsunDecides2026: Candidate Oyebamiji Hails Peaceful Voting While Salaam Alleges ADC Agents’ Tag Denial
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Munirudeen Oyebamiji, has described the ongoing governorship election as peaceful, commending the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and security agencies for their conduct.

Oyebamiji urged voters to remain calm and exercise their franchise peacefully, saying, “INEC, so far, has conducted a commendable operation. I believe everything will go well. I want to appeal to the people to conduct themselves peacefully and exercise their right to vote peacefully.”
However, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate Dr Najeem Salaam raised concerns over the alleged denial of tags to ADC agents in Ward 5 across 10 local government areas.
Salaam said the matter had been reported to the authorities, stressing that agents must be properly recognised and present at polling units when votes are counted.
“This issue has been reported to the authorities, and they are looking into it. When the votes are being counted, agents must be properly recognised and present at the polling units.”
He said this was essential to ensuring transparency and confidence in the electoral process.
