ICPC Uncovers Another Fake Federal Agency, Tinubu Orders Arrest
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has uncovered another fake agency operating within the premises of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).

The discovery was made during the commission’s ongoing investigation into the activities of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council.
ICPC Chairman, Musa Aliyu, disclosed this after briefing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the development for the second consecutive day this week.
According to Aliyu, the fake agency operates under the name National Brands Development and Made-in-Nigeria Special Project Office and had been illegally allocated office space within the OSGF premises.
He said the agency was promoted by one George Buchi Nwabueze, with suspected collaborators within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The ICPC chairman said the purported agency operated without the authorisation of the President or any lawful government approval.
Aliyu further disclosed that the commission discovered that Nwabueze operated under several variations of his name, including George Nathan, George Nathan Nwabueze, Hon. George Buchi Nwabueze, Prince George Buchi Nwabueze, George Buchi and George Nwabueze.
He said the ICPC had engaged officials of the OSGF to obtain vital information concerning the fake agency and determine how it was able to secure office space within the federal government complex.
Following the briefing, President Tinubu directed the immediate arrest of Prince George Buchi Nwabueze and ordered the immediate suspension of three permanent secretaries: M.S. Danjuma, Nadungu Gagare and Richard P. Pheelangwah, allegedly connected to the matter.
The President also directed that the ICPC continue its investigation and ensure that all relevant information surrounding the operation of the fake agency is uncovered.
The ICPC said its investigation is continuing and that further details would emerge as the probe progresses.
