SSS Vows to Investigate Shooting of Fashion Designer, Salesgirl by it’s Operatives

The State Secret Service, SSS, commenced an investigation into the shooting of a fashion designer and a sales girl by its operatives at the Garki market in Abuja on Thursday, 7th September 2023.

It was gathered that the operatives were contacted by a displeased customer whose clothes were not delivered on time by the fashion designer. They went to the market and shot the fashion designer and a stray bullet hit a sales girl in her shop.

The act enraged traders who stopped the operatives from leaving the market but they quickly left while the traders threw stones and other things at them.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya on Thursday, it stated that its operative responded to an SOS call and allegedly came under a mob attack at the market.

“The attention of the Department of State Services (DSS) has been drawn to an incident that occurred a few hours ago (today, 7/9/2023) between its staff and a mob at the Garki Market, Abuja. Information at the disposal of the Service was that its FCT Command responded to an SOS from their field operatives who allegedly came under a mob attack in the said market.
