Enugu to Host NAFEST 2025, Seventeen Years After Last Edition
Enugu State has officially been confirmed as the host of the 2025 edition of the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST), following the symbolic presentation of the NAFEST Gong to the state government.

Governor Peter Mbah announced the development in a statement on Wednesday, expressing pride in Enugu’s selection and reaffirming the state’s readiness to deliver what he described as the most memorable edition of the cultural festival in history.
The event, scheduled to take place from November 22 to 29, 2025, marks a return of the national cultural celebration to Enugu for the first time since 2008 after a 17-year interval.
“Enugu is ready,” Governor Mbah declared. “With our thriving creative economy, rich cultural heritage, and the legendary warmth of our people, we are set to deliver the most memorable NAFEST in history.”
He extended an open invitation to Nigerians and global lovers of culture and the arts to converge on Enugu this November, describing the event as a celebration of Nigeria’s unity in diversity and a reflection of a cultural renaissance in the Southeast state.
“Enugu is rising. Enugu is ready. NAFEST 2025 will be unforgettable,” the governor added.
NAFEST is Nigeria’s premier cultural festival, organised by the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), and it brings together representatives from all 36 states to showcase the country’s diverse cultural expressions through music, dance, crafts, food, and more.
