Torch of Unity Movement Concludes With Visits to Four Institutions

The Torch of Unity movement came to a close on Friday with a series of visits to four institutions, including Amadeus University, Amizi; Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike; Federal Polytechnic, Ngodo–Isuochi; and Spiritan University, Nneochi.

At Amadeus University, Amizi, the team was received with warmth and excitement. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Nzotta, expressed confidence in his students, noting that while the competition will produce winners and losers, he is certain Amadeus University is well-equipped to emerge victorious.

During the visit to Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, echoed similar optimism. He stated that the institution has all it takes not only to participate but to win in the forthcoming sporting events.

At Federal Polytechnic, Ngodo–Isuochi, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Dr Adinnu Paulina, affirmed that the polytechnic will not be left behind. She assured that their contingent will put in their best efforts to secure a win.

The final stop was at Spiritan University, Nneochi, where the Vice-Chancellor, Very Rev. Fr. Prof. Remy Onyeumenyi, emphasised the school’s level of preparedness. He added that the funds to be provided will go a long way in enhancing their readiness.

The tour was marked by colourful receptions and the readiness of students and administrators ahead of the upcoming sports fiesta, which kicks off on the 25th of November 2025.
