Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic Shines as Abia State Tertiary Sports Fiesta Crowns New Boxing Champions

The Abia State Tertiary Sports Fiesta produced an impressive lineup of boxing champions across multiple weight categories, with Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba emerging as the standout institution.

In the Female Flyweight (51kg) division, Njoku Somtochukwu of Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic clinched the top spot. The school also dominated the Male Lightweight (60kg) category, where John Nwadiche secured first place.

Spiritan University grabbed gold in the Male Cruiserweight (85kg) class, while Onwuegbu Dennis of Abia State University (ABSU) triumphed in the Male Middleweight (75kg) division.

Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic continued its strong performance in the Male Light Middleweight (70kg) category, with Okechukwu Iheke taking first position and Ansiem Vinning Chidi finishing second.
