“Abians Have Not Seen Anything Yet” – Otti Speaks
The Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, has said that Abians are yet to see the full extent of his administration’s achievements, noting that although his mandate is for four years, only two years have been spent so far delivering extraordinary developmental strides across the state.

“Just like the Americans would say, you ain’t seen nothing yet,” the governor remarked.
Governor Otti made this statement at the Aro Day 2025 celebration, responding to applause from the people over the Okobo road reconstruction and other ongoing road infrastructure projects in Arochukwu Kingdom and across Abia State.
He stated that his administration is not worried about the 2027 elections, even though many people are already focused on them. According to him, 2027 will be much easier than 2023 because, while he sold promises in 2023, 2027 will be based on the promises already fulfilled.
While appreciating the former Senator who represented Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, for highlighting his administration’s achievements, Governor Otti said that political parties are merely vehicles. He emphasised that he sees himself as an instrument being used by God to wipe away the tears of the people.
The governor also appreciated the Eze Aro, Eze Dr Eberechukwu Oji, for leading the people through a renaissance, and commended the President General of Nzuko Aro Worldwide, Mazi Nnadozie Udensi; the Chairman of the Planning Committee (CPC) of Aro Day 2025, Mazi Chimezie Orji; as well as all sons and daughters of Arochukwu Kingdom.
He wished everyone a joyous celebration and prayed that no life would be lost as the year 2025 drew to a close, expressing hopes for a prosperous 2026.
Contributing, the Emir of Kano, HRH Mohammed Sanusi Lamido II, commended Abians for voting for Dr Alex Otti in the 2023 governorship election, stating that the whole world is proud of him and his accomplishments in office within two years.
The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the 100 Aro Heroes and Heroines, commemorating the centenary of Omu-Aro by Governor Otti who noted that without the heroes of the past, there would be no foundation upon which to build.
