NAPTIP Receives Teenager Trafficked to Abidjann
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, has received a 17-year-old girl who was trafficked to Abidjan for sexual exploitation.

In a statement on Monday, it was gathered that the girl was deceived and trafficked to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, where she escaped from her traffickers and made her way to Liberia and was assisted at the Nigerian embassy.
Upon her arrival at the airport, she was handed over by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Nigerian Embassy in Monrovia, Ambassador Mrs R.O. Mohammed and arrived in Nigeria on Sunday, 26th April, 2026.
NAPTIP revealed that it has commenced appropriate measures to support the victim while the investigation to uncover the trafficking network continues.
