NAPTIP Repatriates Twelve Victims Rescued From Ghana
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Lagos Command, has intensified its crackdown on human trafficking with the repatriation of 12 Nigerian victims rescued from Ghana.

The victims, believed to have been lured out of the country under false promises of better opportunities, were received by NAPTIP officials for rehabilitation, counselling, and reintegration into society.
In a related development, troops of the Nigerian Army intercepted suspected human traffickers in the Badagry area of Lagos State while they were allegedly attempting to move two young women across the Seme border into Ghana.
Military sources disclosed that the operation was carried out during a routine security patrol around the border corridor, a route often exploited by traffickers and smugglers. The suspects were arrested, while the two women were rescued and handed over to the appropriate authorities for protection and further investigation.
The agency also warned traffickers that intensified surveillance and border monitoring would continue across key routes linking Nigeria to neighbouring countries.
