COVID-19: Okpo Ihechiowa Sons and Daughters Provides Palliative to its People
A group of Okpo Ihechiowa indigenes led by Engr. Obasi Ekpe and Brother Uchendu Anyaoha have provided palliative to the people of Okpo Ihechiowa in Arochukwu local government area, Abia State.
A group of Okpo Ihechiowa indigenes led by Engr. Obasi Ekpe and Brother Uchendu Anyaoha have provided palliative to the people of Okpo Ihechiowa in Arochukwu local government area, Abia State.

They provided the palliative to mitigate the effect of the lockdown enforced due to the outbreak of Coronavirus in the Country.
Speaking with one of the organisers who spoke on grounds of anonymity, he stated that they had to reach out to some of the indigenes of the community to find a way to curb the hunger that is happening as a result of the economic defect of COVID-19.
He also disclosed that these great sons and daughters of Okpo Ihechiowa contributed in no time to buy 57 bags of rice which they shared to every compound in Okpo and also promised to buy more things to mitigate the hunger.
While receiving the gift, the men and women were all smiles as they shared it amongst themselves. They also appreciated all the Okpo great sons and daughters who contributed to the project.
He further stated that through this way, the people of the community will also try to develop the community especially the road which has been left abandoned by the state government.
