Armed Robbery Syndicate Busted, One Neutralized
An armed robbery syndicate at Igboukwu in Aguata Local government area has been busted by the Anambra State Police Command on Sunday 14th January 2024.
An armed robbery syndicate at Igboukwu in Aguata Local government area has been busted by the Anambra State Police Command on Sunday 14th January 2024.

It was gathered that the armed criminals were traveling in a commercial bus from Nnewi when they were stopped at a police checkpoint for a stop and search.
One of the hoodlums immediately alighted and pulled a pistol but was shot down by the police.


According to DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, the police public relations officer, three of the gang members were also arrested including elderly passengers who were released later after proper identification and information that they boarded the bus at a different location.
“A search of the bag they were traveling with yielded a concealed dagger.”
Meanwhile, the case has been taken over by the State Criminal Investigation Department for thorough investigation.
