Two Killed, Several Injured as Armed Herders Attack Enugu Village
Two villagers have been killed and several others injured as armed herders invade Agu-Amede in the Isi-Uzo Local government area of Enugu State on Saturday.
Two villagers have been killed and several others injured as armed herders invade Agu-Amede in the Isi-Uzo Local government area of Enugu State on Saturday.

It was gathered on Tuesday that the armed herders also burnt about four houses in the village in the unprovoked attack.
A community leader, Ephraim Ogbu, who confirmed Saturday’s incident stated that the herders launched an attack on the village after engaging soldiers who overpowered them.
“The second attack at Imamamaru Agu-Amede after killing those two people at Isiado Agu-Amede. Our people are currently living in danger,” he said.

“A young man who is currently lying in a hospital bed was inside his house at Imamamaru village when the invaders launched the attack. Immediately he ran out of his house, and they grabbed him and macheted him. You can see what they did to him. We don’t know whether he will survive it. How can someone stay in his house and a foreigner will attack him and want to still live in that community?
“We learned that the herders engaged soldiers deployed in Eha-Amufu when they were patrolling the community. So, the soldiers engaged and overpowered them. They retreated and when the soldiers left, they launched the attack on innocent residents.”
On Monday, terrorists also killed one person at Isiado and Imamamaru villages, a situation that has forced people to flee their homes.
