Police Arrest Three Suspected Kidnappers for Conspiracy, Threats

Suspected kidnappers 29-year-old Babangida Abdullahi, 27-year-old Mohammed Abubakar and 30-year-old Yakubu Sani have been arrested by the Nasarawa State Police Command, Mararaba ‘A’ Division for a kidnap attempt.

The trio of Aso B Mararaba, Karu LGA, allegedly conspired to call and threaten to kidnap an uncle to one of the suspects, Ibrahim Idris of the same address if he didn’t pay two million naira ransom.

According to DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Public Relations Officer on Tuesday, the victim quickly dropped the ransom at their preferred location which they picked up and shared amongst themselves.

Meanwhile, the suspects have all confessed to the committing of the crime while an effort is ongoing to arrest one member of the syndicate who escaped arrest by whiskers.
