Major General Christopher Jemitola, Former ADC to President Obasanjo, Passes Away
Major General Christopher Jemitola, who served as the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has passed away after collapsing at the IBB Golf Course in Abuja on Thursday.
Major General Christopher Jemitola, who served as the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has passed away after collapsing at the IBB Golf Course in Abuja on Thursday. Despite being quickly rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival, according to family sources.

Jemitola had a distinguished career in the military, holding several prominent positions, including Corp Commander of Nigerian Army Signals, Defence Adviser to Brazil, and Director of Army Public Relations. He also served as the Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP) in the Nigerian Army before retiring.

A native of Ososo in Akoko Edo Local Government Area of Edo State, Jemitola served as Obasanjo’s ADC from 2003 to 2007, during which he held the rank of Colonel. His extensive military experience earned him the respect of both political and military circles in Nigeria.
