Judge Orders Explanation from Ikoyi Prison Over Continued Detention of Ijele Despite Bail Compliance
Harrison Ofoegbu, popularly known by his social media handle IjeleSpeaks2, appeared today at the Federal High Court in Lagos for arraignment in an ongoing legal battle reportedly instigated by Evangelist Ebuka Obi and others.
Harrison Ofoegbu, popularly known by his social media handle IjeleSpeaks2, appeared today at the Federal High Court in Lagos for arraignment in an ongoing legal battle reportedly instigated by Evangelist Ebuka Obi and others.
Ofoegbu has spent over a year in detention despite fulfilling all bail conditions set by the court, Ofoegbu remains incarcerated at Ikoyi Correctional Facility.
In a turn of events during today’s court session, the presiding judge ordered Ofoegbu’s legal team to formally engage with Ikoyi Prison authorities to determine the reason for his continued detention.
