Defamation: Court Grants Senator Natasha Strict Bail Conditions
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has granted bail to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central, in the amount of ₦50 million.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has granted bail to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central, in the amount of ₦50 million.
The bail comes with strict conditions, including the requirement of a reputable surety. The surety must reside in the Abuja Municipal Area Council and must own property in the area.
During the hearing on Thursday, the presiding judge approved the bail application, allowing it to take effect pending further proceedings in the senator’s ongoing legal issues.



The Federal Government, on behalf of Senator Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, filed a lawsuit against Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan for defamation and assassination of character over her allegation of a threat to life.
Meanwhile, Senator Natasha appeared in Court with her husband High Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan.
