Senator Natasha H. Akpoti Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central District, has revealed that her struggles in the National Assembly stem from her opposition to sexual harassment by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

In a brief post on social media on Thursday, Senator Natasha, who was suspended for six months from the Senate for misconduct, expressed her deep gratitude for the unwavering love and support of her husband.
“Remember, it all started because I said no to sexual harassment… and I’m proud I did!” the Senator wrote, referencing a pivotal moment that defined her principled stand in public life. Her post included a heartfelt tribute: “My handsome, kind-hearted, and loving husband is more than enough for me.”

On Monday, a case was filed against Senator Akpoti Uduaghan by the Federal Government on behalf of Senator Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello for alleged defamation.
They requested a bench warrant for her failure to appear before the judge, but this application was rejected by the Federal High Court.
