Torch of Unity Team Visits Gregory University and ABSU, Receives Strong Support from Management, Students

The Movement of the Torch of Unity continued today with energetic stops at two major institutions in Uturu: Gregory University, Uturu (GUU) and Abia State University, Uturu (ABSU), where the visiting team received enthusiastic receptions.

At Gregory University, Uturu, the management and students were already assembled to welcome the delegation. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. C. U. Njoku, expressed deep appreciation that the institution, despite being a private university, was included in the ongoing competition.

She commended the team, led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tertiary Education and Chairman of the Central Organising Committee, Dr Emeka Enyiazu, assuring them that GUU possesses all it takes to compete for and win top prizes.

The team then proceeded to Abia State University, Uturu, where a similarly warm reception awaited them. ABSU’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Okeudu, praised the initiative as one of the most impactful efforts from the Governor and the Ministry of Education under the leadership of Commissioner Prof. Uche Eme-Uche.

He affirmed the institution’s readiness and strong commitment to excel in the competition.
