Notorious Bandit Kingpin Turbaned in Zamfara

A notorious bandit kingpin identified as Adamu Alero has been turbaned as Sarkin Fulani which means the King of Fulani of Yandoton Daji Emirate in Zamfara State.

Alero who was declared wanted by the police in 2019 was turbine on Saturday 16th of July 2022 at 3:30 pm.

It was gathered that Ado Aleru is the leader of the bandit group terrorizing Katsina and Zamfara State communities.

The police 2019 placed a bounty of N5 million naira on his head which did not bear any fruit as kidnapping intensified in the communities.

The Zamfara State Police has tried to stop the turbaning through the office of the State Governor Bello Mohammed who has sworn never to dialogue with terrorists, when their attention was drawn through social media posts of the event.

Though the State Government cancelled the turbaning after several criticisms, however, the event was held later on the scheduled day.

Meanwhile, Yandoton Daji Emirate was created out of Tsafe Emirate in the Tsafe Local Government Area of the State, this year.
