Suspended Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is facing new legal trouble as Senate President Godswill Akpabio has taken her to court over a satirical apology she posted on social media.
In a lawsuit filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja on May 7 (Case No. CS/384/25), Akpabio accuses Akpoti-Uduaghan of violating a standing court order by publishing the post, which he claims was designed to mock him amid ongoing legal proceedings.

Through his legal counsel, Kehinde Ogunwumiju (SAN), Akpabio is asking the court to compel Akpoti-Uduaghan to take down the post from all platforms. He is also seeking a formal apology to be published in two national newspapers and backed by an affidavit confirming her compliance.
The legal team argues that the post flouted an earlier court directive issued on April 4, which restrained both parties from making public comments regarding a pending sexual harassment case until its resolution.
